Reaper’s Justice is set in the world of the WesternWind series, but can be read as a standalone story.Kasid Jaborn never thought he would find his soul mate. Gypsy meets Reaper and the sparks fly, sort of. I found myself wondering, 'Okay, what's going on?' all through the book. It's like a short that was ripped out of a larger work, and I might like to read that larger piece if only so I can finally figure out what's happening and why. And I'm sorry, but one of my biggest pet peeves is writing a story that takes place in another time or place and using modern day Earth slang to do it. This is not Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Xena: Warrior Princess--and IMHO, the writers of both ought to be lined up against the Hollywood sign and shot. The author also switches back and forth between character POVs at the drop of a hat, making the story even more difficult to keep up with. The dialogue was stilted, the sex flat and kind of disgusting--love juice? Seriously?--and the plot strange. And yes, some of us actually do read these things and expect a plot.Product details

Reaper Justice edition by Charlotte BoyettCompo Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This ebook is a good romance and a very steamy read. It was well written. I could not put it down until I finished it.

It just wasn't good. I'd say it was written by a teenager after her first lesson of creative writing. And those pitiful sex scenes! Really not worth reading.
This is where 14th century England meets Star Trek, minus the ship, and it just gets worse from there. No real plot, less than medicore character development, made up words with sketchy meanings, bizzare and weird scenes, old english language that doesn't work for the story, and laughable (literally) if not simply ridiculous sex. For me, though free, a total waste of time. The only saving grace about this book is that it's short, though, by the time you get to the second chapter, you realize its not short enough.
This story about some sort of future-warrior were-creature finding his fated mate (who is a gypsy?) requires too much back-story in order to understand the context and the sex simply isn't hot enough to make it worth it. The female main spends too much time thinking about her sisters and their sex tips (ewww!) while she is supposed to be focusing on her mate.
Recommended for only for those who are already up-to-speed on this series.
You get enough information in this story to figure out its a futuristic version of Earth with humanoids and people with mythical powers but not enough to bog down how short of a tale this actually is. It took me approximately 15 minutes to read the entire book but I am a fast reader so it is perhaps 30-45 minutes long typically. I very much enjoyed this universe and look forward to exploring it.
I have to say, the writing displayed in the story was vivid, and painted an excellent picture. But the picture it painted was not beautiful at all.
If we tossed out the gypsy princess, and the sex, this might have been a way batter story. It should have focused 100% on the hero, he was the only interesting character in the plot. And this voyeuristic mystic chic kind grossed me out, Yeah, he knew she was watching them get it on... YUCK. That would have been enough for me to say, "Hey, wanna go find some privacy?"
Then there was Justice's need to reflect on her sisters advice. Yeah, because while in the process, I always ask myself what my sister would do in this situation. LMAO! In retrospect, it could have been worse. She could have been out to hit up every Reaper in the community. But Justice floundered the story for me. Not a bad try though.
